Over time she took on roles as an editor for fashion magazines like Elle, InStyle and teenager fashion. She has launched the disgrace she carried for being Black and for not being Black sufficient.
“I best cherished myself very conditionally. Most effective if my hair seems best. I simplest like myself if i like my outfit, and if i've the job that i like,” says Prescod. “Like why do i have this sort of consistent trouble with self-love? And it is because systemically the manner that i am being affected makes me suppose i'm now not exact sufficient.”

In 2016, Prescod become named the fashion Director of bet, and in June 2020 she launched 2BG (two Black girls) Consulting together with her buddy Chrissy Rutherford. Their venture is to shed light on how white supremacy has impacted the style industry and how brands and influencers can create more secure and more inclusive spaces.
As a token Black girl, Prescod says she was skilled to be checked out and now not heard. The ones days are over.
